Tempered glass
Tempered glass is produced by heating float glass to its transformation temperature and then rapidly cooling it uniformly, thereby imparting compressive stress to the glass surface. During cooling, the outer layer of tempered glass solidifies rapidly due to the rapid cooling, while the interior cools more slowly. As the interior continues to cool and contract, it exerts pressure on the glass surface, creating tensile stress within the glass. This process enhances the glass’s strength and thermal stability.
Insulated glass
Insulated glass units are composed of two or more sheets of float glass, separated by aluminum spacers filled with desiccant. The glass panes are bonded and sealed with butyl adhesive, then further sealed with polysulfide sealant or structural adhesive. Insulated glass not only reduces outdoor noise transmission into indoor spaces and prevents frost formation on glass surfaces, but also provides excellent thermal insulation. This effect is particularly pronounced when combined with Low-E glass to form energy-saving insulated glass units.
Laminated glass
Laminated glass, also known as safety glass, consists of two or more sheets of float glass bonded together with a tough PVB (polyvinyl butyral) interlayer. The sheets are pressed together in a hot press to expel as much air as possible from between them. The assembly is then placed in an autoclave, where high temperature and pressure cause any remaining air to dissolve into the PVB interlayer.
Screen-printed glass
Screen-printed glass involves applying a layer of ceramic glaze onto the glass surface. After high-temperature heat treatment, the glaze film is permanently bonded to the glass surface, resulting in a glossy finish that never fades or peels off.
Color-printed glass
Color-printed glass is produced by applying high-temperature ink through screen printing to create various patterns on the glass surface, which is then heated in a tempering furnace or oven.
Colored enamel glass
Colored glazed glass is produced by applying a layer of ceramic glaze to the surface of float glass. After high-temperature heat treatment, this glaze film becomes firmly bonded to the glass surface, ensuring it will never fade or peel off.
